Little Drummer Boy lyrics and sheet music for late elementary/ early intermediate piano - this easy version with open chords has a full sound, a changing but predictable rhythm, & all the lyrics!
Because this piece is COPYRIGHTED, I cannot offer it to you for free - but you can download a digital copy from SheetMusicPlus.com.
Have a listen to this recording I made of The Little Drummer Boy:
Just as I can't give you the music for free, I also can't SHOW YOU the entire piece. But I can TELL you about it!
First, the only big difficulty in this arrangement involves the parallel thirds in the right hand that come as the melody gets fancier. The little bit of right hand harmony that is visible in the video is pretty easy; I just write in fingering for my students, and THEY'VE GOT IT.
There will be a couple of spots where they have to lift their fingers and move up or down. Because there is a black key - F# - involved, it will seem tricky at first, but it is not too hard. Help them choose fingering.

Second, the rhythms of the left hand are static or slow, so that right hand complications can be addressed with full attention.
The left hand only moves to come together on beat ONE of each measure, or when right hand stops moving. Examine this closeup view:

The end of each verse has a rhythm element which is just open chords; listen to the video again to catch that sound:
I've also published a Middle C arrangement. It has eighth notes, but they haven't been a problem for my students. There are also chord symbols above the lines, to facilitate duet-making!
Like the arrangement above, this sheet music is only available at SheetMusicPlus.com. See this beginner version there.
No video for it, but here is what page one looks like:

This is the perfect easy start for little pianists.
And when they start reading white-key notes on the staff, this is a fun easy resource to say each week, "Choose a new black-key song at home this week and figure it out to show me next lesson!" They will be spending more time at the piano.
A perfect read aloud storybook
for little boys or girls.
The Adventures of Tonsta highlight the travels of a very young boy with a good heart, who goes about helping folk in trouble.
With a red cap on his head and a sack of tools slung over his shoulder, Tonsta seems to meet people in distress wherever he goes.
Lots of trolls in this book - including one who gives him a Christmas gift!

Like some of you, I've been playing the piano since early childhood, and have added a few other instruments along the way, plus an interest in arranging and composing music.
