There's a very useful fingerboard map that goes on your right on your fingerboard. No sticky stuff involved. I found it useful because it's color coded and comes with color coded music that's designed to help you learn how to read music. Note names are included on both the map and the sheet music. Really works, and isn't expensive. You can see it at FretlessFingerGuides.com. Hope this helps.
Dana:You are right - those violin guides are really neat! Thanks for the tip.
Down In the Valley is an old-fashioned song with sweet lyrics and a strong melody. Resting around Middle C & using just 2 chords, it makes a fine duet or solo!
Short aria Nel cor with piano accompaniment in the keys of Eb, F, and G! This pretty little aria is perfect for students just venturing into classical music.
