Hello Dana, firstly may I thank you for taking the time and trouble to reply to my first post.
Well, the workshop went very well and as a result I have been asked to present one a week for a couple of hours.
The songs in the round went very well and helped to break down any inhibitions that the groups originally had. By the time the song at the end of each group session arrived, everyone seemed pretty comfortable with what they were doing and happy to sing in front of other people.
The day went by extremely fast and it was time to finish before I knew it! The most exciting aspect of the day was seeing people enjoy themselves especially when all the groups sang en masse at the very end in a large hall where the acoustics were pretty good.
Needless to say I went home on a high and am delighted to have been asked to hold further workshops every week. Sadly payment is still not an option as such, but I do have access to photocopiers, a printer and a PC etc so it's not all bad.
Thanks once again for your advice even though I have only very recently stumbled upon it - the ideas I had were similar, they have made me realise that what I am doing is right!
Take care Dana where ever you are in the world.

Dana:Thanks so much for letting me hear how things went for you... you must have a very enthusiastic and fun teaching style for everyone to have enjoyed the sessions so much! Congratulations on being asked to continue doing this; your name is going to get around this way, and eventually you will figure out how this could also make some money for you, if you want.
