This is the beautiful Black Beauty movie music, in an intermediate arrangement for piano that your students will love, with its energy and soaring melody.
I'm leaving this page up in case that changes... but if you follow the "For Sale" links to their destination at SheetMusicPlus, you will find the music is posted, but not available for purchase.
My piano arrangement is available in 2 keys: Am and Bm. As this music is copyrighted (written by Danny Elfman), it is for sale at SheetMusicPlus.com. Therefore, I can only show you page one, of three pages, but you can see page two also, at SheetMusicPlus.
There is a driving energy in the left hand pattern. The pattern comes easily - and yet there is the back-and-forth change of just one note inside the octave, starting in measure 7, that bears watching! See if your students can spot the note.
Follow along as you listen:
Playing in Am with no black keys (except for a few accidentals) is inherently easier than Bm with its recurring F#. However, Bm seems fresher to many ears, perhaps because students spend so much time playing in the keys of C and Am... no black keys.
This arrangement in Am is also for sale, at SheetMusicPlus.com.
Sometimes I have to explain to my students what "copyright" means - that the creator/inventor of a work of art or other product is still alive (perhaps), that this music BELONGS to them, and that this is how they make a living!
I feel lucky to be able to offer this music arrangement, but of each $5.00 sale at SheetMusicPlus, I will only make 50 cents. Oh well - at least I can now offer this lovely arrangement (in 2 keys) to the world!
That link will take you to a page at SheetMusicPlus.com, where you can purchase and download the music. It is not the same page as for Black Beauty in Am.
Your students will enjoy this music!

This beautiful song book for piano & voice "Esther, For Such a Time as This", available as a digital download, tells the riveting story of the time when Jews in ancient Persia faced a foe named Haman, and how a brave young queen risked her life to save her people.
A good choice for a singing story-teller, an operatic group, a short theater production, or a class of children!

This is the perfect easy start for little pianists.
And when they start reading white-key notes on the staff, this is a fun easy resource to say each week, "Choose a new black-key song at home this week and figure it out to show me next lesson!" They will be spending more time at the piano.
A perfect read aloud storybook
for little boys or girls.
The Adventures of Tonsta highlight the travels of a very young boy with a good heart, who goes about helping folk in trouble.
With a red cap on his head and a sack of tools slung over his shoulder, Tonsta seems to meet people in distress wherever he goes.
Lots of trolls in this book - including one who gives him a Christmas gift!
Hi, I'm Dana! (Say that like "Anna".) I'm the owner of Music-for-Music-Teachers.com, and a newer site, SingTheBibleStory.com.
Like some of you, I've been playing the piano since early childhood, and have added a few other instruments along the way, plus an interest in arranging and composing music.
You can find out more about me and the reason for this website at my About Me page.
